Another very good reason to join us is coming along on the 6th April this year ………..no it is not a car but it is HMRC who will of course be removing the £80,000 ceiling on the list price for company car tax calculations. From the 6th April tax will be calculated on the list price of the car which will have a significant impact on all those drivers running their own supercars through a company as company cars !!
In fact in some cases the taxation could be more than the value of the car, a brilliant example from pistonheads is that a £4,000 clear engine cover specified as an extra at new, will now cost £700 per year in tax…..that is alarming
A number of dealers are also worried that used car prices at the very top end of the market could also be hit as drivers “bail out” before the new tax rules take effect.
